Chooi Seng is a certified advance-level facilitator for Trauma Healing Institute (USA) and has trained many local and overseas facilitators and practitioners in the areas of trauma healing.
In 2005, just after the Asian Tsunami, he was selected to be trained by the Israeli team (Dr Ofra Ayalon, Nira Shiran-Mizrald & Dr Gillat Raisch) on Treating Trauma and Loss. This exclusive training was hosted by the Prince of Songkla University, in Phuket (Thailand).
In 2008, Chooi Seng underwent the YCDI (You Can Do It!) Train-the-Trainer program (highest level) by founder Prof Michael Bernard, focusing on mental health, resilience-building, personal motivation and habits of mind.
In 1998, Chooi Seng was one of the very first to be certified in the Prepare/Enrich train-the-trainer program by founder Dr David Olsen. This certification is the highest level accreditation for Seminar Directors. Today, he continues to certify local facilitators as well as in the nearby regions like Chiangmai & Bangkok (Thailand), Jakarta, Surabaya & Bandung (Indonesia) & Phnom Penh (Cambodia). Besides running the Prepare/Enrich Facilitators Training, Chooi Seng also conducts the Group Program and Refresher Courses.
In 2007, Chooi Seng became the first and only Family Wellness Instructor (highest level) accredited by the late George Doub (founder of Family Wellness Associates). He has since been an advocate of Family Wellness programs in tandem with Prepare/Enrich.
Chooi Seng is also a pioneer who helps to build compassionate communities. He had led Seasons, a Support Group to the singles who have suffered personal loss. He provides them a safe place they could find healing and recovery. He also facilitates a Widowers Support Group that attempts to normalise grief in a safe & non-judgemental way.
Additionally, Chooi Seng has taught counselling on behalf of Waverley Abbey College, UK, and at TCA SOC & Universitas Ciputra (Surabaya).
We choose to conduct these sessions on Sunday afternoons, recognizing that many other sessions are typically scheduled on weeknights. This timing ensures participants are refreshed and engaged, avoiding the fatigue often experienced after a long day at work, thus optimizing the productivity of our sessions.
